In this essential role, you will be responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the Western Union Foundation.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and deliver data and insights-driven activities to increase donor engagement and fundraising across our key donor groups.
- Work closely with the Executive Director of the Foundation and the rest of the Foundation team and corporate partners.
- Present to the Board of Directors for the Foundation and present in cross-functional leadership team meetings.
- Develop a new strategic approach that will engage stakeholder groups (Vendors, Western Union Agent Networks, Customers) and increase fundraising year over year.
- Sell and close donation commitments to directly secure funding.
- Manage small teams of volunteers and/or external agency partners to execute on all strategies, campaigns, and events.
Role Requirements
- Education or equivalent skills are required, with 10 years of experience working for either a non-profit or Foundation focused on developing and executing fundraising strategies.
- Strong donor engagement skills and comfort with a hands-on approach to fund development.
- Effective sales acumen and capable of strategically selecting prospects.
- Expert communication (verbal and written), negotiations, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Passion for supporting underserved populations, particularly people who have migrated.
- Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Salary
The salary range is $102,750.00 - $130,000.00 USD per year, total on-target compensation includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates qualifications, skills, and competencies.
