About the Position

The videographer will be responsible for creating audio video content for organization objectives by determining appropriate formats, approaches, equipment and mediums necessary while considering timeframes and overall budget. This individual will support the video team by determining and operating equipment needs for video recording and audio capture with occasional editing responsibilities. The videographer will perform on set tasks and field work, as well as assist production staff in producing final projects. This individual will collaborate with co-workers within the Marketing department and across the organization to best utilize video and audio technology to meet communication and financial education objectives.

Normal Day-to-Day Work
  1. Determine production needs and make recommendations for best solutions to meet video needs and make recommendations for best solutions to meet project objectives.
  2. Set the stage for all video production needs by preparing teleprompters, preparing equipment for production, and executing filming.
  3. Position properties, sets, lighting, and any other needed equipment to capture high quality video with attention to cinematography and composition details.
  4. Maintain all video production equipment including sets, lighting, and other needed props needed to create high quality video footage for editing.
  5. Prepare all audiovisual equipment for shooting footage with optimal sound while considering the environment of each set (i.e. meeting rooms, outdoors, events, classes, and/or video conferences) and the final presentation and archival of meetings, events, classes and/or conference.
  6. Collect b-roll footage, conduct interviews and capture storytelling content to achieve project objectives for marketing, educational, archival and creative video needs.
  7. Format and prepare high-quality audio and video, realistic and engaging original content for the most appropriate medium and channel, such as Web, live streaming, podcasts, etc.
  8. Diagnose and resolve audio video equipment issues or other shoot-related problems, escalating for resolution as necessary.
  9. Responsible for all routine maintenance and servicing of audio video equipment, arranging servicing as needed to ensure equipment is fully functioning, always available, and organized.
  10. Maintain knowledge of latest technology and trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement of audio production and storytelling.

Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.
  1. Minimum 4-6 years combination of education/training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
  2. Proficient knowledge using audio and video equipment.
  3. Experience with audio and video editing tools and software.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to make people feel at ease in recorded situations. Be able to work independently, meet deadlines and achieve time and budget requirements with a strong, positive attitude.
  5. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  6. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
  7. Travel required on occasion.

Here are a few qualifications we'd LIKE you to have to make you more suited for this position.
  1. Bachelor's degree in related field, such as telecommunication or video production.
  2. Completion of a certificate program in video production from an accredited technical institute.
