The GE Energy Financial Services Global Capital Advisory (EFS GCA) team supports the GE Industrial Businesses with the structuring, negotiation and execution of Export Credit Agency (ECA)-backed finance structures supporting the sale of GE equipment and services across the globe. This role will manage the relationship with a number of our key ECA partnerships in the region and serve as the primary internal interface for ECA-backed transactions in the region.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :
Manage local ECA relationships on a day by day basis and establish a strong network of contacts at middle to senior management level within those institutions
Support the development of strategic programs and partnerships in collaboration with the broader GCA leadership team with local relevant ECAs and Governments to promote GE exports
Support ECA Origination: lead and coordinate financing proposals and support presentation of ECA solutions to customers; screen business order plan for potential ECA financing opportunities.
Serve as a subject matter expert to our customers, to GE's local sales & finance teams on all aspects and requirements of ECA financing including channel partner selection.
Support project-related meetings between buyer, banks, ECAs as commercial opportunities develop
Analyze and structure equipment and services purchase and sale agreements (including EPC scope) to optimize sourcing and meet ECA eligibility requirements.
Structure and execute ECA advisory mandates (if required); maximize revenue from advisory fees.
Drive project financial closure through active co-ordination between all parties, including Borrower, Lender, ECA, advisors and ensure delivery of GEs CP requirements in good time to close transactions.
Support the execution phase of transactions with the preparation and delivery of disbursement/re-imbursement documentation in support of the GE export contracts
Monitor and co-ordinate portfolio transactions to ensure compliance with GEs obligations
Engage ECA's in all deal phases: Policy and Deal Advocacy; Origination; Application; Approval; Certification; Documentation; and Disbursement.

Qualifications/Requirements :
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years financial services experience in ECA Finance, Trade Finance, Deal Structuring or related experience
Established network of contacts at local relevant ECAs
Fluent in German and English;
Nordic language or Spanish language skills a plus

Desired Characteristics :
MBA, CPA, or graduate of a GE Leadership Development Program
Certificate of competence (Sachkundenachweis) by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce ("IHK") (IHK Examination) for insurance/insurance mediation and customer services. Equivalent domestic (German) professional qualifications and degrees may also be considered after consultation with the candidate.
Project Finance experience
An awareness and understanding of the onshore wind industry a strong and distinct advantage
Experience working in a matrixed organization
Proven ability to execute in a dynamic environment; results oriented
