**Job Description Summary**
This role is responsible for developing and leading a culture of applying Lean principles and techniques to the Aeroderivative engineering process/value stream across GE Gas Power. Specifically, the Value Stream Leader will work closely as a partner with the business functions and internal Engineering teams to identify a continuous improvement strategy/playbook, prioritize Kaizen events and manage the improvements related to the Aeroderivative Inquiry to Remit (ITR) process/value stream

**Essential Responsibilities**
Key responsibilities include:
+ ELT partner and lean coach supporting the Aeroderivative ITR process owner(s) to help develop the process design strategy and prioritize improvements.
+ Define and manage the portfolio of Kaizen/AWOs and lean projects to address business level hoshin plan; define budgetary needs, timing, resource demand, etc and facilitate execution of the projects & AWOs throughout the year
+ Coordinate monthly operating reviews with the Aeroderivative ITR leader to gauge performance of the value stream with regard to Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost
+ Determine need for PSRs based on current trend analysis of process KPIs and known issues pertaining to the value stream
+ Facilitate completion of the PSRs in a timely manner following the standard work (problem definition, causal analysis, countermeasure development & implementation, sustainment)
+ Promote a culture of Lean Thinking among the Engineering People Leaders focused on Servant Leadership, Customer Focus and Employee Empowerment
+ Broaden the application of problem solving and continuous improvement tools in a way that will improve efficiency, capacity and process reliability for the value stream
+ Celebrate and share Engineering application of Lean principles and techniques within the value stream to recognize success and leverage lessons learned
+ Develop expertise and experience in the applicable Lean models, concepts and tools across the Engineering organizations
+ Facilitate and ensure the linkage of Lean improvements to real financial impact;
+ Drive the necessary process standardization/harmonization for one integrated and streamlined Gas Power Engineering organization
**Qualifications / Requirements**
+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college OR relevant experience to the level of responsibility
+ Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in successfully managing programs/projects or driving continuous improvement initiatives

+ Practical knowledge of Six Sigma DMAIC, TOPS 8D or other problem-solving techniques
+ Appropriate experience driving business transformation and / or lean adoption, preferably within an Engineering organization
+ Clear, concise written and oral communications to the appropriate level
