The team:


We are a rapidly-growing and highly-capable UX team who are tasked with building experiences for a global audience in eight languages. Our team collaborates with product groups, developers, and others to deliver intuitive and innovative solutions in an Agile environment. We endeavor to add a user centric perspective in all aspects of our process.


 


Your job:


Our UX Designers are responsible for shaping the experiences of our users through a range of tools and services. Working in a team, and independently, they create experiences informed by user needs and business objectives.


They also help craft engaging, and interactive, layouts that transform our feature stories into memorable experiences.


The person in this position will collaborate with other UX designers, visual designers, developers, product owners, marketing, and content creators.


Core responsibilities:


o   Provide UX function as part of a cross-functional team


o   Work with Data Analyst to inform decision making and direction


o   Build relationships with key SMEs to gain deeper insights


o   Manage relationships with research related vendors


o   Participate in and/or lead user-experience research and usability studies


o   Participate in, and contribute to, regular design reviews and other team-wide design efforts


 


About you:


You are a user advocate who strives to know the users better than they know themselves. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, proactively problem-solving and innovating. You consider yourself adept at negotiating priority vs timeline trade-offs with project stakeholders.


You often find yourself advocating the for UCD/UX best practices and understand we are not the users.


You have an interest in UX beyond applications and websites. 


 


Requirements:


o   3+ years of professional experience with design and development of interactive software interfaces and/or websites


o   BA/BS in a relevant field or an equivalent demonstrated mix of education and experience


o   Flexibility of approach in providing, or creating, the best solutions based on product/team needs


o   Ability to perform all user testing/research related tasks


o   Working knowledge of industry standards, protocols, and methodologies for both responsive and app design


o   Ability to synthesize user testing/research findings into clear guidance for team members, stakeholders, developers, and others


o   Proficiency in industry standard prototyping tools for static and interactive deliverables


o   Proficiency in industry standard visual design tools to create high-fidelity mockups


o   Experience working in a DSDM/Agile/Lean iterative project management/development model


o   Ability to articulate your concepts and design decisions


o   Online portfolio, ideally, with detailed examples that illustrate the challenges you were tasked with, solutions you provided, and how they performed
