Job Summary

True Fit is looking for a talented consumer-focused UX Designer to work full time in our downtown Boston headquarters. In this role, you'll work closely with our product management and creative team members to develop new and improved consumer experiences that drive sizing and style recommendations for the online retail sites of customers. In addition, you will work to enhance the data visualizations within our B2B reporting suite.

Our team's mission is to connect shoppers to apparel and footwear that they will love and keep. We do this through our SaaS product, which retailers implement on their e-commerce sites and mobile apps, and through unique partnerships with organizations who are redefining the future of shopping.

You will lead user research to understand our customer's problems, analyze product requirements, uncover consumer pain points, and explore potential opportunities all with an eye to imagine and develop experiences that will inspire and delight consumers. You will create journey maps, flow diagrams, UX prototypes and help define & pitch solutions directly to our stakeholders.

COVID-19 and True Fit

While this role is based out of our Boston HQ, due to the ongoing response to COVID-19 all True Fit employees are working on a remote basis, with a return date TBD. Once our offices are reopened, we can remain flexible and work together on a schedule that best suits your needs at the time.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Breathe life into the product vision with a user-centered design approach by:
    • Performing user research studies with end consumers and retail partners
    • Brainstorming, conceiving and sketching product features and functionality
    • Wireframing and prototyping newly developed user experiences
    • Rapidly testing and iterating on concepts
  • Work with internal stakeholders from across the organization to understand near term and long term business goals & objectives
  • Manage a variety of UX projects, from small, tactical product improvements to large initiatives
  • Communicate findings and decisions through presentations and written report

Qualifications and Skills

  • You have a minimum of 1 - 2 years of work experience in user research, UX design and usability testing for a consumer-facing application
  • You have experience designing for both mobile and desktop applications, with particular strength in mobile-first design methodology
  • You are proficient in InVision, Sketch, and wireframing/prototyping apps (Axure, Balsamiq, Proto.io, etc.)
  • You stay up-to-date on current design trends, themes and technologies
  • You create simple, beautiful solutions and have examples in your portfolio
  • You are self-motivated and work well with others
