  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Performance and supervision of sonographic exams and staff performing them. To organize, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the Ultrasound section to ensure quality patient care while following all applicable compliance and local medical standard guidelines. Is held accountable for following the policies and procedures of the department, and Trinity Health. Sets short and long range goals consistent with the department and hospital objectives, and in alignment with Trinity Health’s strategic plan. Monitors and revises as necessary. Makes effective use of technical and human resources to attain established goals. Prioritizes schedules and completes work in a timely and productive manner. Collaborates with peers and supervisor in establishing goals, objectives and plans. Promotes, markets/services/programs as appropriate.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • Licenses and Certifications Required
      • ARRT registered or ARDMS registered or CCI registered
      • NDMIRTBE licensed
    • Educational Requirements
      • ARDMS registered, preferably to include vascular certification
      • Hospital Management or supervisory courses helpful
    • Experience Requirements
      • Minimum of five years with experience in Abdominal, OB/GYN, Vascular, and Cardiology imaging
    • Special Skills or Training Requirements
      • Willing to cross train in other areas and perform other duties as directed
      • Uses a systematic coordinated process for problem-solving and decision making to bring problems to successful resolution
      • Uses abilities to help select and operate equipment
      • Supervisory ability (able to supervise and work with department personnel)
      • Ability to communicate intelligently and positively with physicians and other hospital personnel
      • Ability to perform high quality diagnostic procedures
      • Acknowledge customers
      • Keep customers appropriately informed
      • Maintain confidentiality
      • Use proper voice, e-mail, and telephone etiquette
      • Demonstrates positive and proactive communication skills to include active listening
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities
      • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
      • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
      • Four year college degree or equivalent work experience with leadership potential
      • Facilitate and coordinate clinical ultrasound internship students with Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
