Training & Qualification Leader - Steam Power Americas

**Job Description Summary**

Training Leader will lead overall internal technical training program development and delivery across the Steam Power Americas business. The selected individual will collaborate with current, on-going technical training operations stakeholders throughout the business to establish and maintain an efficient centralized training support operation.

**Roles and Responsibilities**



+ Oversee technical and procedural-based training and qualifications programs

+ Track, report and forecast training resource needs through a systematic Training Needs Analysis process.

+ Ensure establishment and operation of Operating Experience (OE) Program to support technical training

+ Collaborate with global and regional training leaders to ensure consistency of training & Field Services execution capabilities.

+ Implement processes to ensure standardized, quality execution

+ Utilize Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) or other equivalent performance-based training model to deliver technical training

+ Assess current programs and operations against industry standards, identify training needs, and prioritize work with a focus on Safety

+ Liaise FieldCore to ensure the technical adequacy and training resource availability

+ Develop and Stand up a Field Engineering Program to provide a pipeline for field engineering and future business leadership.



**Required Qualifications**



+ Bachelor's Degree in related field

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial training development and/or delivery under the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) or other equivalent performance-based training model



**Desired Characteristics**



+ Bachelors Degree in Education OR equivalent OR previous teaching certificate or license) OR Technical degree in engineering or sciences (Engineering preferred)

+ Experience Managing EPRI certified training programs (STE Programs)

+ Knowledge of/experience with e-Learning methods

+ Proven success in directing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in technical material development

+ Experience working with technical writing and document preparation/production team

+ Experience directing both contract assistance and internal personnel on training projects

+ Experience dealing with procurement of training-related services (as either purchaser or provider of training services)

+ Ability to effectively leverage resources in a matrix environment

+ High commitment to safety and quality

+ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

+ Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing

+ Project management skills

+ Results-oriented customer focus

+ Creative approach to problem-solving

+ Black Belt Certified (GE Employees Only)

The salary range for this position is $109,000.00 - $150,000,00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience, their education, and the work location.
