As a 3PL Analyst you will be a key member of the Vetsource operations team in supporting the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) operations by tracking and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of external fulfillment locations for shipping and receiving, process compliance, and service levels. You will work closely with the Accounting, Customer Service and Program Management teams as well as a variety of external partners. This person is responsible for daily operational oversight to ensure accurate inventory management and on time order fulfillment. This position will work with the Operations Manager to drive operational activities essential to the department's success within a rapidly growing, changing environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Development of 3PL Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), establish reporting to hold teams accountable for set service levels, and lead continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Produce weekly and monthly status reports that offer insight into KPI Performance for each 3PL location.
  • Point of contact for 3PL warehouses, assisting with training, questions, inventory reports and printer/IT issues.
  • Conduct quarterly inventories and routine cycle counts in each 3PL location, maintain documentation for annual audit.
  • Coordinate resolution activities related to backorders, product outages, technology issues, inventory integrity, and returns.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation and reporting, standard operating procedures, and performance tracking information.
  • Review and audit warehouse documents, packing lists, invoice copies, maintaining accurate digital filing and documentation to ensure data preservation.
  • Report and investigate discrepancies or missing information, escalating to program contacts as needed.
  • Identify process improvements to mitigate common or impactful issues.
  • Addresses various internal and external customer questions and concerns regarding order status, quality and inventory availability; forwards complex or escalated customer needs as appropriate.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams, and communicate effectively using virtual communication tools
  • Experience working with internal and external customers
  • Ability to think creatively and apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, driving issues to resolution
  • Must be able to make sound judgement decisions and know when to ask the manager for assistance
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously, and ability to manage complex situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Results driven, proactive and able to work autonomously, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exhibit a willingness to consistently take on new challenges, and a strong desire to learn new products and technologies, as well as a hands-on approach
  • Facilitate process improvement projects with the team based on sound data analysis.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of ERP, WMS, and Inventory Management,
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google suites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operations, business, or supply chain experience a plus
  • Data analytics experience
  • Project coordination experience

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to work for short to mid length time periods in a warehouse environment
  • The noise level in the work area is normally quiet to moderate
  • Environment where dogs could be present
  • Travel may be required 5% of the time
