Job Description Summary
The Information and Process Management Department (IPM) at Bentley University invites applications for two tenure track positions at the assistant/associate level starting in the fall of 2020. A qualified candidate should have an excellent record of accomplishments in both research and teaching appropriate for the candidate's level of experience. The new faculty members will be expected to contribute to the IPM department's mission of educating technically-adept managers, process experts, data scientists and information systems professionals and advancing the state of research at the intersection of business, information systems, and emerging technologies. We are specifically looking for candidates interested in generating novel, impactful and interdisciplinary research stemming from, but not limited to, the Information Systems (IS) area. A PhD in IS or a related field and a demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research are mandatory minimum requirements to apply for this post.

The IPM department offers programs at the undergraduate and master's levels and contributes courses to several other programs at Bentley, including the undergraduate general business core, the information systems audit and control major, the graduate analytics core, and the dual MBA cores. The main areas of teaching include business process management, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, managing data analytics, strategizing with information systems, developing information security policies and practices, and creating value with the supply chain. The IPM faculty's scholarship encompasses several areas of IS and Management. IPM faculty research receives external funding and appears in premier IS, Management, Communications and Software Engineering outlets.

Bentley University is known in the IS community for having been the home of three AIS (Association for Information Systems) Fellows, two past AIS Presidents, and three LEO Award recipients, all in the IPM department. Bentley, over the years, has been consistently rated as one of the top-publishing universities of IS scholarship according to AIS statistics relying on scholarly production in the basket of eight.
