Job Summary |
a. We are looking for reliable, pleasant, energetic persons to assist with on-going study related activities. Under the supervision of the study project director and principal investigator, the individual filling this role will be responsible for recruiting patients from UK healthcare, enrolling patients, and following them throughout the course of the study until completion. This role utilizes a variety of skills, including interpersonal, professional, and relational skills when engaging with UK Healthcare’s patients, time-management skills to contact patients in a timely manner, and organizational skills to correctly collect, enter, and manage data. Familiarity with REDCap is required (although training will be provided), as well as experience with Excel and Microsoft Access. The person who holds this position must be able to work autonomously, problem solve, and use critical thinking skills. This position will teach the basics of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) and require collaboration with other health professionals to ensure protocol compliance. This person will also communicate with the principal investigator and project coordinator regarding any issues encountered during the recruitment, enrollment, data collection, and follow-ups. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
