**Job Description Summary**
The Engineering Technical Leader role is responsible for leading multiple Turbine Module NPI & Fleet projects with complete ownership of Turbine components (Rotor & NFPS) design, schedule & quality. In this role, He/She will lead a team of engineers, develop strategic technical execution plan and provide technical work direction to the team. You will lead projects with broad design scope, in depth interpretation of analysis results and prepare for design reviews with clear conclusions and recommendations.

**Essential Responsibilities**
The engineering technical leader demonstrates leadership in communicating design needs to the team and in driving culture of innovation and collaboration to successfully commercialize new product design. In this role, He/She will utilize his/her experience or expertise to lead and solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals of GTES organization.
+ Enables the team to execute and evaluate design using excellent engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
+ Provide hands-on support to team based on critical stage of the design or during product development/implementation phase.
+ Handle critical design meetings with excellent technical preparation and with good insight on physics and through past best practices.
+ Provide strong coordination between the systems, sciences, PDE and chief engineer office organizations during the project execution phase to meet product CTQs.
+ Available to take customer or field site or supplier visits solve key issues may come up.
+ Owns and solves business challenging programs, RCAs and supplier/manufacturing issue working independently/with team.
+ Think beyond existing technical solution, evaluates technical options and owns the accountability of the selected path forward.
+ Develop new ideas and drives into the product with validation. Leverages technology across the domains.
+ Drive document technical data generated by the team for assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
+ Participate along with team to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
**Qualifications / Requirements**
+ Masters or bachelors in engineering with specialization in Mechanical, Design and Applied mechanics.
+ At least 10+ years of experience in the field of gas turbine mechanical design, development, and testing.
+ Hands on experience with turbo machinery design tools (Rotor & NFPS) and familiar with gas power systems tollgate process.

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
+ Hands on design and analysis experience on Turbine Rotor & NFPS.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead teams and key initiatives.

+ Self-starter and ability to handle multiple projects.
+ Track record of innovation through patents or technical publications.
+ Experience with GE Gas Power GT product line.
