Role Summary:Tax Operations Leader, EMEA is a key member of GE Healthcares global tax team, who manage EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) GE Healthcare tax teams responsible for corporate income tax compliance and reporting

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Manage corporate income tax processes for EMEA, including liaising with controllership, statutory accounting teams and other businesses tax teams to ensure complete, accurate and timely tax filings

+ Lead tax operations projects for EMEA, including establishing processes and defining roles and responsibilities to ensure ongoing compliance

+ Coordinate with the regional & central tax accounting leads to ensure integrated approach to tax accounting and tax compliance related to ETR analysis and reporting, uncertain tax positions, intercompany tax settlements, tax return true-up analysis and other ASC 740 related activities

+ Coordinate with other GE Healthcare tax team members and external advisors to ensure that tax positions are properly reflected in the companys tax computations and filings and thoroughly and contemporaneously documented

+ Manage internal control procedures for corporate income taxes and coordinate with internal and attest auditors for internal controls testing as applicable; and

+ Team with the rest of the Tax Operations leadership team to drive operational excellence and continuously improve the tax controllership and operations environment by sharing best practices across regions and developing talent.

+ Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to interpret and document complex technical information in a manner which is clearly understood by non-tax personnel, internal process owners, and external advisors

+ Willingness to learn quickly and consistently to both achieve excellent results and to grow their own capabilities

+ Proactively manage both internal and external resources

+ Strong work ethic combined with the ability to consistently maintain high service, quality, efficiency, and ethical standards

+ Ability to thrive in an environment where coordination and teamwork is a priority


+ Accounting bachelors degree or equivalent required

+ Masters in Taxation/Accounting and CPA or similar credential preferred +/or equivalent knowledge or experience

+ Written and verbal fluency in English

+ Extensive tax experience with a large multinational company and/or Big 4 accounting firm with a focus on income tax compliance

+ Strong people leader with a commitment to developing and training team members, promoting a collaborative work environment

+ Ability and desire to develop, implement, and sustain "best practice" processes to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy

+ Good communication and effective intrapersonal skills, including proven ability to develop strong professional internal and external relationships

+ Significant exposure to various European, Middle East & African corporate income taxes for a global company required

+ Experience in US GAAP tax accounting standards and Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 concepts

+ Oracle or similar general ledger experience preferred

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
