The Tax Accountant will be working under the general supervision of the Tax Director, Tax Manager, and other senior staff. This position assists the tax team with the company’s annual provision, federal and state tax compliance, and other tax matters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the annual tax provision.
- Prepare federal, state income & franchise tax returns and related workpaper support.
- Prepare fixed asset reconciliations and review additions for accuracy.
- Prepare schedules and perform analysis supporting company’s compliance with international taxation Forms 5471/8858, foreign tax credit, Subpart F, etc.
- Assist in federal and state income tax controversy matters.
- Respond to notices from various state tax jurisdictions.
- Respond to tax questions from other departments and groups.
- Provide support for on-going projects.
- Perform tax research and analysis when required.
PAY RATE: $31.25 - $40.87 per hour Depending on Experience

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or business-related field required.
- Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in taxation of corporations is required; Experience in public accounting preferred.
- Detail oriented, well organized with strong analytical skills.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects effectively and works well in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel.
- Experience with OneSource Tax products and BNA research program preferred.
- Must be able to travel to office 1-3 times per week, when required.
