Talent Recruiters are an integral part of the Lummus/Carter HR team and overall recruitment process from posting of jobs to making sure new hires are welcomed on day one. The Talent Recruiter is responsible for recruiting top talent, sourcing passive candidates, generating accurate offer letters and managing all pre-employment candidate activities. TR's take on other Recruiting-related activities including career fairs and building relationships with Universities or Tech Schools. Ideal candidates have a passion for providing outstanding customer service to internal stakeholders and external candidates. They are extremely organized, schedule/goal driven, self-directed individuals with a history of being a key team member. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work as a Lummus HR team member to recruit and source top talent both actively and passively.

Provide outstanding candidate interviewing experiences.

Helps build strong relationships with universities and technical schools. 

Manages interview scheduling throughout Lummus/Carter Intralogistics

Phone and onsite interview candidates to determine if qualified.

Arrange onsite interviews with travel if needed.

Answer all questions from candidates or internal stakeholders ahead of and during hiring process.

Build sourcing strategies to recruit hourly or salaried candidates as needed. ( From Welders and Sheet Metal Assemblers to Robotics and Controls Engineers)

Schedule interview debrief meetings with hiring managers.

Uses Newton/Paycor applicant tracking system to manage the candidate process from application to screening to hiring. Will help with job postings, and job description updates

Communicate with HR Leaders and hiring managers to obtain offer letter approval and track responses.

Helps support recruiting social media strategy.

Facilitates pre-employment activities including ordering drug screens, background checks and medical tests, if applicable.

Updates weekly hiring dashboards.

Works with HR Business partners to engage new hires in day one activities.

Lead and/or assist in other HR related projects as assigned.

Completes reference checks as needed.

Up to 25% travel for training or to support hiring/career fair events or employer showcases.


Basic Requirements:

3 or more years related experience in full life cycle recruiting that includes success in building robust talent pipelines through passive candidate sourcing.

Proven organizational skills; ability to multi-task and handle many different responsibilities each day.

Flexibility and willingness to embrace change is a must; Talent Recruiters work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate to varying levels of the organization and candidates through email, text and phone.

Must be self-motivated and able to self-direct daily work to meet goals and deadlines.

Microsoft Office skills including robust hands on experience with Outlook email, Outlook calendar, Word and Power Point.

Experienced in using online applications, cloud storage options such as OneDrive or DropBox and performing complex internet searches is required. 

Working knowledge of creating and executing projects including creating project plans.


Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, psychology, communications, business, or other related field is strongly preferred.

Experience in building relationships with intern and alumni associations of local colleges and tech schools. 

Experience with Newton or other Applicant Tracking System (ATS)  

3 or more years Corporate recruiter experience helpful

AIRS Certification 

Recent training on how to use behavioral interviewing techniques 

SHRM Certification(s)
