Surgery National Commercial Director

Role Summary:The role will be responsible for creating and executing a coherent product differentiation and commercial strategy for Surgery product lines and optimizing the use of resources to cover market potential to achieve the operating plans for Greater China. He/she shall deliver product expertise to internal teams and external channel partners; he/she will also lead complex/strategic deal and develop show site strategy and KOL for the region.

Essential Responsibilities:Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive growth of Surgery business in greater china

Work with regional sales leaders and account teams to increase prospects and drive closure of opportunities to meet sales, orders, and margin targets.

Create, drive implementation and iterate as needed on a compelling Surgery business plan, including but not limited to opportunity development, product strategy and offerings, competitive strategies, distribution enhancement, show site and KOL development and installed base maintenance.

Manage existing installed base of Surgery products, ensuring that all customers are engaged and satisfied with product performance and support.

Provide pricing strategy and ensure pricing compliance for segment opportunities.

Communicate Surgery products value proposition to internal and external customers and key stakeholders..

Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote product and company; develop relationships and partnerships with related industry & academic societies.

Build a high performing Surgery modality team...able to attract, coach and retain the best talents with high scarcity

Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree

10+ years of consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation

Strong knowledge and deep understanding of the medical device regulatory requirement

Demonstrated ability to understand and present complex material in understandable terms

Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills

Solid problem solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)

Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)

Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve

Team oriented with a customer satisfaction mindset

Flexible and ability to adapt to changing work environments

Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Energetic, tenacious, persuasive and able to withstand set-backs

Desired Characteristics:Minimum 8 years Healthcare, Pharma and or Life Sciences sales experience

Prior experience working for a big international company in a matrix environment

Highly advantageous if you have had successful commercial experience in the last 3 years, with track record of achieving sales targets

Highly advantageous if you have prior experience in Surgery modality
