Amgen's 10-13-week virtual internship program offers opportunities to university students to apply their training on meaningful projects that impact patient's lives. Students joining the Amgen internship program will contribute to Amgen's development pipeline by working on specific projects in their assigned departments while, at the same time, they learn about the drug development process and participate in professional and social networking virtual events.

The Translational Immunology and Safety Sciences group within Translational Safety and Bioanalytical Sciences is seeking a highly motivated graduate student intern to join our team this Summer.

The graduate intern will remotely collect public evidence to understand the concordance of immunotoxicity and organ pathology of drugs (on market and in clinical development) with immuno-modulation capability. In addition, the intern will study the correlation of immunotoxicity observations between pre-clinical studies and clinical trial outcomes. Immunotoxicity is a drug induced change of immune system including a damage of immune organs, and stimulation or suppression of immune cell function. The alteration of immune responses may or may not always correlate with expected tissue pathology. The result from this study will greatly help us understand and interpret the immuno-toxicity observation in pre-clinical studies.
