Job Summary |
You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK. This POSITION IS SEASONAL – MARCH 15 – AUGUST 31, 2023. Candidate may reapply at the end of the season if they would like to stay on the team and a position is available. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Shop Crew 2 Member to join our small family business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. As a Shop Crew 2 Member, you will be responsible for serving our delicious ice cream, treats, cocktails, and other delicious offerings to our customers.. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, handle cash transactions, and ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed. PERFORMANCE GOALS -Creates a work environment that is friendly and inclusive. -Models the mission statement (Create Joy, Ignite Laughter, Inspire Compassion) attitude and sets the expectation for all team members to do the same. -Creates positive work relationships with team members and embraces a culture of teamwork and compassion. -Places “Safety First” as the top priority always -Ensures shop is clean and presentable at all times -Interacts professionally with guests, suppliers, and coworkers at all times. -Proves to be willing and eager to partner with the Shop Leadership Team and have tasks delegated to them in an effort to learn and grow as much as possible, both personally and professionally. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | -Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills -Teamwork mentality with a focus on helping others succeed QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: -Food Handler Permit (Fayette County) -Alcohol Server Training Certification -COVID-19 Vaccination -Must be 20+ years of age PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: -Must be able to lift or move up to 30 lbs -Must be able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours -Occasionally may be required to sit for long periods of time -Must be able to reach with hands and arms and use hands for manual dexterity -Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS: -Must be able to work holidays and weekends as needed. -Must be willing to jump in to fill in shifts as needed. -We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. |
