Job Summary |
You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK. The Law Office of Douglas Hawkins seeks to hire an individual with knowledge of accounting and business administration. The primary duties of this position will require one to have very strong organizational skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office and proficient in Word and Excel. This business administrator will be taught the functions of a “law practice management software system” in order to engage in the set-up of client files. The business administrator will be tasked with preparing client retainer agreements and having retainer agreements signed electronically by the clients through DocuSign. The business administrator will be responsible to ensure retainer, client documents, and other files are accurately and properly logged and filed within the client’s file inside the management system. This same system maintains the accounting program where financial records and transactions will be recorded. This administrator will also be responsible for ensuring that accurate accounting records are kept, client trust accounts are accurately credited/debited, invoices accurately generated, billed, and paid as well as reconciliation of the financial records with the bank account statements. The business administrator may also be responsible for managing and processing the payroll for all employees. The rate of pay will depend upon both experience and skill. The hours will be flexible. |
