Job Summary | You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK. CREATE is a unique studio/shop that offers family art experiences and a curated selection of products. In order to be eligible for this position you ideally must be available June – August 2022 Monday Friday, 15-40 hours per week. If you are available for the first or last 5 weeks, we can work with that as well. There is a possibility of continuing this position beyond the summer for the right candidate. There also may be an opportunity to work in the CREATE retail shop. We are looking for 2-3 instructors with experience working with children in an education setting, particularly in art education. A summer camp instructor at CREATE has a warm, friendly, and energetic personality. They are highly creative and interested in developing their teaching practice. Most importantly, they are able to connect with children and families and create a safe, respectful, and joyful, and imaginative experience for all campers. Lead summer camp instructors have the ability and desire to:
An experienced instructor has a strong understanding and experience in process art, early childhood education, elementary education, and/or art education. The lead instructor is must be able to instruct groups in an effective manner. |
