Strategic Marketing Leader

Role Summary:The Strategic Marketing Leader is responsible for strategizing, planning and executing marketing initiatives for the business by identifying and communicating specific customer problem statements and corresponding value propositions that GE Hitachi Nuclear Product Solutions will resolve.



Essential Responsibilities:This role will work collaboratively with Product Management and Sales to develop a Marketing Strategy that uses competitive intelligence, forecasting tools, and market data and analytics to develop business cases and/or facilitate opportunity identification while working closely with teams across the organization. This role serves as a consultant and advisor to the business CEO, ensuring he is educated on various industry trends and topics and keeps abreast all related subject matter and market dynamics. As the Strategic Marketing Leader you will:





+ Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Finance, Customer Finance, Legal and Operations to provide comprehensive recommendations on strategies and programs aligned to corporate objectives



+ Identify and translate customer problem statements and competitive intel into new value propositions.



+ Use marketing and forecasting tools and expertise to obtain competitive intelligence and market data.



+ Gather market research, customer feedback and internal expertise to illuminate opportunities



+ Critically analyze product utilization by market and customer segment to inform pricing decisions.



+ Develop a multi-year pricing roadmap to accelerate product adoption



+ Build cross functional consensus by listening closely, framing trade-offs, and offering deep analytical insights to guide decision making



+ Develop business cases for different market opportunities.



+ Develop value proposition for potential opportunities in order to increase the probability of revenue via partnering.



+ Represent the voice of the customer during internal program discussions; work with product management, technology development, alliance management and strategic program management teams to ensure timely response and progress.



+ Cultivate long-term relationships with the GRC, Product Management, Project Delivery, Sales and Engineering in order to ensure stakeholder engagement and maximize speed to market.



+ Participate in the development of the strategic growth vision and objectives for new products, including establishing and participating in essential operating rhythms that allow for transparency to all stakeholders.



+ Demonstrate communication and relationship skills in working horizontally across various groups within the organization including working with technologists, marketing, research scientists, strategic program management and legal on engagement requests, and support these requests as needed.





Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Sales



+ Minimum 15 or more years of power industry experience



+ Minimum 7 years of Marketing and/or Sales Experience in the Power Industry



+ Minimum 2 or more years of experience as a Strategic Marketing Leader in the Power Industry



+ Minimum 2 or more years of global forecasting experience





Desired Characteristics:

+ Masters degree in marketing or business administration (MBA)



+ Deep Domain expertise in Power Industry



+ Deep knowledge of GE installed base and/or Power Industry Installed Base



+ Power Sales experience selling to non-power industry players



+ 6 Sigma Black Belt



+ Experience using Lean methodology



+ Global Forecasting Experience



+ Experience working with marketing and forecasting tools and resources for obtaining competitive intelligence and market data.



+ Experience in CRM tools (Salesforce.com preferred)



+ Excellent communication skills



+ Demonstrated ability to digest complex information into a clear message.



+ Internal and external experience enabling critical thinking from customer perspective



+ Excellent strategic thinker who can translate business development challenges into revenue-producing opportunities



+ Demonstrated ability to work with customers to drive projects forward successfully



+ Results focused, with a strong track record of execution



+ Established analytical and project management ability



+ Able to perform financial analysis and make decisions based upon financial data



+ Able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers



+ Extremely high initiative and able to embrace ambiguity



+ Strong oral and written communication skills



+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
