The College of Social Work is seeking a creative and motivated staff writer to create engaging and informative content for publication on the college’s website, use in press releases and promotional communications, and quarterly reporting.

The staff writer will be responsible for investigating, interviewing, and reporting on various new and ongoing innovations at the college in addition to spotlighting students, faculty, staff, and participants.

The staff writer will also serve as a liaison to the college’s researchers by reporting on new publications, research, and impacts.

Additionally, the staff writer will be responsible for staying up-to-date on trending news and topics to identify opportunities for newsjacking and elevating college experts for potential coverage.

Must submit 3 writing samples (submit at end of application under Specific Request 1-3).

This position is located at the Coldstream Research Campus (a hybrid schedule is available).
