Shift | Variable hours for both Summer Session and Fall Semester. Summer session classes for the Fine Arts Institute meet from June 30 to August 4 on Thursdays, 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Fall semester courses at the School of Art & Visual Studies meet from August 24 to December 2, Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00am 11:50am. Models are not scheduled for every class every week. Please indicate your availability in the cover letter along with your application. |
Job Summary | The School of Art and Visual Studies and the Fine Arts Institute at the College of Fine Arts is currently seeking Art Models for drawing classes. Models are expected to pose nude for student course work and should be able to hold poses from 30 seconds to as long as 45 minutes. While athletic ability is not required, body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the figure in poses is highly desirable. The work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours. The University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and well-being of our entire community to be a top priority. In alignment with this priority, all new hires must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. For areas that fall under the federal CMS mandate, start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted. |
