Role Summary:GE Aviation manufacturing plant in Dzieroniw is a part of wider GE family, where Employees safety is embedded in the company culture and is always our priority, together with quality, cost and delivery. Currently we are looking for an experienced and motivated person for the position in the critical area of EHS.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Managing all aspects pf EHS activities on site to ensure full compliance with local EHS & Fire Prevention regulations and GE procedures.

+ Building and promoting EHS culture through transparent communication, EHS tasks accountability and openness to feedback.

+ Supervising EHS activities in the company and providing regular assessment & control of working conditions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.

+ Driving behavioral change through implementing EHS performance improvement programs and practices focusing on work safety, minimizing occupational risk & actively engage cross functional teams in this respect.

+ Timely and accurate documentation to government bodies

+ Developing and implementing EHS procedures & documents register (risk assessments, safety instructions, analyzes, etc.) and ensuring that the revision of these documents is up to date.

+ Coordinating tasks in adherence to requirements of the internal EHS Management system Framework 2.0 organizing regular review meetings with the owners of individual element to asses tasks accomplishment progress & define opportunities for improvement.

+ Providing support on developing site injury & illness prevention programs. Leading learning from incidents/accidents investigations & developing Corrective /Preventive action plan, maintaining accidents register.

+ Reporting on EHS performance and progress on implementation of safety and sustainability objectives and key performance indicators to the Site Leader and EHS T&D Value Stream Manager.

+ Leading EHS Audits within the business and participate on external parties Audit/Control as required (e.g. PIP, PIS and others).

+ Acting as an expert in the development and of training materials for induction training, periodic EHS trainings &, key risk management areas.

+ Organizing required trainings & certifications on First Aid, Fire Prevention, Forklift Exams etc.

+ Organizing and conducting the work of the Safety Committee.

+ Organizing and controlling special eye examination for adequate personnel, as per AS 9100/internal GE procedure requirements.

+ Managing the area of Personal Protective Equipment, keeping records, issuing PPE to the employees, cooperating with PPE vendors, supervising agreed budgets and timely deliveries.

Participating in regular corporate meetings and teleconferences, reporting the current state of EHS KPIs, sharing good practices.

+ Reporting the progress of work to the immediate supervisor on the accomplishment of any additional tasks assigned by the superior, from the indicated area.


+ 5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, working in a global company.

+ Relevant professional certification(s).

+ Practical experience & knowledge of the Labor Code in relation to EHS, fire prevention & Environmental standards - ISO 14001 norm.

+ Advanced practical computer skills primally with MS Office: writing procedures, preparing presentations, analyses & reports.

+ Proven ability to develop sustainable cooperative professional relationships on all levels of the organization.

+ Hands on and proactive approach.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

+ Proven ability to prioritize, focus on and obtain business results.

+ Leadership skills: coordinate work of small focus/working groups, safety committee, Framework 2.0 team.

+ Fluent Polish and great English communication skills (oral and written)
