Role Summary:

Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments. The responsibilities include: working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission and Distribution System Operators on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Provides domain and/or technical leadership to a team of electricity generation application software engineers.

+ Contributes and leads electricity generation application development in the context of customer commercial projects and ensures related software deliveries are on schedule, within budget and meets or exceeds customer satisfaction expectations

+ Promote and demonstrate best practices and high-quality software development processes

+ Writes documents for new project tasks, such as Design notes, testing procedures, etc.

+ Provides effort estimates for new project tasks

+ Supports sales efforts through tendering, customer demos and customer training

+ Provides regular reports to the Generation Team lead and Group Manager on status of their assigned tasks

+ Acts as a coach / mentor to grow and develop junior staff


Basic Qualification:

+ Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with thesis or related work in power systems.

+ Requires Six (6) years development or project delivery experience in Electricity Generation field.

+ Experience with Electrical Generation Control.

+ Experience with software development.
