A role with the Social Trading team is an opportunity to take an always-on, guest-centric approach to social media planning and activation in order to deliver on Target’s enterprise marketing objectives. This person must have the ability to take a data-driven approach to content, audiences, and media, with an eye toward technological advancements that will make Target first-to-market in the social media space.

  • Deliver data-driven, results-oriented social media strategies that satisfy enterprise marketing goals
  • Manage a social channel budget to meet P&L goals
  • Activate and execute social media campaigns using social media platforms and third party activation tools
  • Oversee activation and execution of social media campaigns by agency teams
  • Lead channel and platform betas
  • Work with social media partners on guest experience, campaign management, engagement, and  analytics
  • Drive multi-channel social marketing ensuring a consistent, fluid and "on-brand" guest experience at the macro level across channels and internal/external sites. 
About you:
  • Bachelor degree required
  • 3-4 years of media planning/buying experience
  • Experience buying and trading media in real-time biddable marketplace, such as search, social, and/or programmatic
  • Track record of thinking strategically, delivering results and managing operations
  • Experience managing a P&L driven marketing/media budget (direct response)
  • Comfortable engaging with agile product development teams
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Experience developing and executing content and media testing
  • Ability to collaborate and navigate the organization effectively
  • Strong analytical skills and data acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
