Sr. Manager, SSA Commercial Operations

Role Summary:The Sr. Manager, Software Service Agreements (SSA) is responsible to ensure that SSA value is realized for the customer, commercial objectives are aligned with the growth of our business, and we can utilize improved processes to be a selling engine for products and services. Will partner with the commercial leadership team including sales executives, sales teams, finance, and operations to provide evidence-based data to support daily sales execution and strategic sales initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Monitoring and report on all SSA renewals and identifying trends and subsequent programs to reverse negative trends, which will include partnering with customers and internal team players to ensure timely and accurate execution.

+ Process SSA and the sources that flow into SSA include; Sales (Segment Specialists and Inside Sales), Pre Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Product Management.

+ Develop programs and coordinate with the internal sales team players to include upsell opportunities within the renewal process.

+ Enlist and lead the efforts of account executives, sales managers, legal and finance when necessary to accommodate the contract renewal process and ensure customer satisfaction.

+ Identify where operational procedures need improvement through a continuous audit process to insure maximum SSA dollars on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis.

+ Develop customer retention programs for the SSA program which includes customers that have been categorized as; Leaving, At Risk, Watching, and Safe. Retention programs should be specific to each risk category and maximum participation in each retention program will be expected by sales.

+ Communicate and effectively partner with Finance and Sales Management regarding forecasting, pricing, and completing transactions.


+ Minimum of a Bachelors degree in business, management, or other related field. MBA preferred.

+ Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in business/sales operations/analytics/finance.

+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

Desired Characteristics:

+ Masters degree, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

+ Strong interpersonal skills including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction across all levels of the organizational matrix.

+ 2+ years of program and/or sales experience, preferred if in software or subscription business.

+ Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, yet translate those results to easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations

+ Superior analytical and data modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to succinctly interpret data and convert ideas to action..

+ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - ability to communicate with a variety of functions and C-level executives

+ Ability to formulate and deliver clearly complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and verbal presentation to senior management.

+ Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment

+ Ability to both execute directly and prioritize the work of a cross-functional team. Proven ability to allocate time to highest impact areas.

+ Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools

+ Background in influencing cross-functional teams toward execution of a strategic initiative. Experience working with a field sales force.

+ Independent, self-directed, with a strong attention to detail.

+ Strong intellectual curiositya desire to identify the why in a situation.

+ Experience in contract negotiations
