Sr. Manager Marketing Operations/Data Analytics

Role Summary:Partner with marketing leaders to enable data driven organizational alignment towards critical business value drivers. Facilitate the development of investment strategies and plans with marketing teams including goal setting. Enable the measurement of marketing program performance and problem-solving analyses to drive improved ROI for the business.

Essential Responsibilities:





In this role, you will:



+ Assist in the development of data driven strategies and plans for marketing with forecast and investment models



+ Collaboratively consults with other marketing leaders and colleagues to support strategic business needs while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure



+ Enable the measurement of marketing program performance and provide support and analytics for problem-solving analyses to drive improved ROI





Process & Performance Management





+ Assist in development of business insights through data analysis including the use of historical reporting and predictive techniques for effective investment and decision making



+ Help measure and demonstrate ROI for the marketing programs and activities on key business value drivers



+ Benchmark the organizations current marketing activities, performance and investment against industry best practices and conduct gap analysis



+ Develop marketing performance communication strategy within the marketing organization and across businesses and ensure information flow with leadership, employees and key stakeholders



+ Lead consistent and repeatable processes for the organization to quickly adapt to changing business conditions



+ Partner and provide requirements to internal/external analytics specialists



+ Execute stakeholder satisfaction surveys to ensure marketing operations is delivering value



+ Drive process improvement methodologies, risk assessments and change management projects





Technology & Data Management





+ Ensure accurate and reliable data flow by defining and implementing operational rigor & standardization in use of system & terminology to gain efficiencies, simplify end user experience and ensure compliance



+ Define the strategic agenda for marketing data management



+ Prioritize initiatives and maintain a roadmap for data management improvements



+ Define the data acquisition strategy to ensure that desired levels of breadth and quality are achieved



+ Work with other functions (e.g. sales operations, IT) to develop a broader master data management strategy



+ Establish ongoing coordination with industry marketing leaders, central marketing, commercial operations and IT teams to ensure changes to data and architecture is aligned



+ Help create the measurement plan for data management, including database readiness metrics and metrics that capture the impact of database readiness on downstream marketing processes



+ Communicate data management status, progress and success



+ Define capabilities requirements, understand current infrastructure, identify and prioritize gaps



+ Recommend programmatic changes from analysis of account and contact data, including customer data and lead development of marketing program requirements for data



+ Development of data acquisition plans and prioritization including data modeling

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business



+ A minimum 7 years of experience in customer marketing, services marketing & customer experience management roles



+ GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed





Eligibility Requirements: (Country Specific)

+ Must be willing to travel

Desired Characteristics:

+ MBA preferred







Technical Expertise:



+ Hands on experience with MAS (marketing automation systems), CRM, data management and visualization tools - Marketo, SFDC, Tableau preferred



+ Familiarity with Marketing technologies including but not limited to content management and distribution, investment operations, sales enablement, targeting and personalization, and more tools and automation systems



+ Coding experience for data visualization is a plus SQL preferred









Business Acumen:





+ An understanding of marketing programs that drive demand generation



+ An understanding of marketing operations processes, data management, and technology implementation



+ Familiarity with the buyers journey and sales cycle and how different marketing programs impact both



+ Preferred: Familiarity to leveraging LEAN methodologies to drive the elimination of waste in value streams, data driven approach to management, and structured problem-solving skills

+ Strong interpersonal skills with experience in leading programs across multiple stakeholders and teams



+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
