SAIC is seeking for qualified candidates to work on an exciting project in the Charleston South Carolina office. The selected candidate perform on a team of acquisition logisticians performing logistics engineering in the design, development and delivery of specialized and unique weapon system. A proven background in acquisition logistics support planning for mission critical systems is required to join our integrated and geographically separated logistics team. Experience in weapon systems development and deployment is highly desired and familiarity with DoD 5000 Acquisition Logistics fundamentals is desired. The team will develop hardware support products during this 5- year project to design and field a complex system.

Responsibilities:

- As a member of the team the successful candidate is responsible to the Logistics Team Lead o perform logistics engineering functions in an apprentice role.

- Your primary role is to collect and report logistics data which will be compiled using our reporting tool set (either SLIC Wave or Raytheon Eagle).

- The data collected from system fault analysis, life cycle trade studies, and other integrated logistics planning studies and tests will be collected and reported monthly to the government and gathered into specialized briefs throughout the project and as scheduled on an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

- As team member a successful candidate will ensure all data collected and reported is accurate and timely.

- You will work under the supervision and tutelage of more experienced logisticians however you will be required to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions, plan schedules and arrange your own activities in accomplishing objectives.

- Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

- A complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards is necessary even though your work will be reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives.

Specific duties include:

- Work with the Lead Systems Engineer and other teams to ensure proper lifecycle support of the system according to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

- Research and analyze supportability impacts of proposed hardware designs

- Develop methodologies and metrics to measure supportability

- Perform independently and deliver in a timely manner all assignments given.

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

- Must be United States citizen

- Must possess an SSBI that is current within the last 5 years

- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

- Clearance Level To Obtain: TS/SCI with Poly

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years or more in systems logistics engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or a related field , Masters and four (4) years of experience

- Experience in military tactical or strategic systems and engineering of Mission Critical or Weapon systems Special: {Minimum requirements}

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Proven acquisition logistics skills

- Ability to work in a team environment

- A solid working knowledge and understanding of computer/network systems.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Experience with SLIC Wave, Raytheon Eagle or similar Logistics database reporting tools

- Experience in system development, test and fielding in a secure military environment
