Sr Director - Enterprise Analytics & Architecture

Role Summary:You will advance the use of enterprise data in operational decisions, own the Enterprise Architecture lifecycles for total IT, and drive a unified Middleware strategy. Your data solutions will accelerate GE Digital's lean transformation, delivering KPI-driven insights to help the business meet its commitments. Your architecture roadmap will define a clear path towards competitive advantage via enterprise applications.

Essential Responsibilities:





+ You will report directly to the CIO of GE Digital, and you will manage a team of 8-10 employees consisting of product managers, architects, developers, QA leads.







Enterprise Analytics:



+ You will drive data democratization, data stewardship and governance, self-service data sets and analytics, while also owning the architectural road map for the enterprise data engineering team.



+ You will own the digital thread of the business - from web inquiry to qualified lead to opportunity to quote to order to fulfillment to cash.



+ You will leverage this connected data set to model the business, highlighting bottlenecks in the cash conversion cycle.



+ You will influence cross-disciplinary teams on solving business problems related to MDM, and help the business view data as an asset on the balance sheet versus a body of maintenance work.



+ Drive digital maturity in the data platform - graduating from descriptive to predictive to prescriptive solution



+ Manage relationships across all business functions, driving platform adoption and increased rigor in data quality



+ Establish a cross-functional, cross-business data council and run ongoing op rhythms



+ Provide incremental views on all business KPI's







Enterprise Architecture:



+ You will drive the creation and execution of information technology architecture road maps, works with domain architects to design and review architecture and road maps for all domains, and determines operational gaps and develops methods for improvement.



+ You will lead solution architecture efforts that require the analysis of business and customer requirements resulting in the recommendation of solutions from among a portfolio of products and services across the organization.



+ They will work closely with domain architects to ensure the feasibility of proposed solution architectures.



+ Future-proof the technology stack for substantial growth



+ Define simple architectures that help drive organic growth, yet accommodate inorganic growth eloquently



+ Own the creation help drive execution of structured road maps across IT







Lean/Agile Transformation:



+ Create a lean-oriented culture that practices SAFe Agile software development



+ Achieve Essential SAFe + DevOps + ITIL Service Desk







People Leadership:



+ Coach GE employees on career navigation, managing conflict, and how to operate in a volatile, uncertain Build high-performing teams and a strong talent pipeline at all levels

Qualifications/Requirements:





+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). A minimum 10 years of professional experience.





+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

Desired Characteristics:





+ 5+ years of experience delivering business intelligence (BI) and analytics outputs



+ MBA preferred



+ Lean Six Sigma background preferred



+ Proven experience in an Agile + DevOps environments



+ Proficiency in at least one data programming language (R, Python, etc.)



+ Hands on experience working with database technologies, including Oracle, SAP, SQL / NoSQL platforms, visualization applications such as Spotfire or Tableau



+ Experience or demonstrated understanding of Customer Relationship Management (SFDC) and Enterprise Resource Planning (Fusion Cloud) ... exposure to both business process and underlying data models



+ Entrepreneurial inclination to discover novel opportunities for applying analytical techniques to business/scientific problems across the company



+ Demonstrated ability to lead in a highly matrixed environment



+ Demonstrated experience in IT product management, including across business units
