Sr. Customer Quality Manager

OVERVIEW:

Samsung Device Solutions America is seeking a motivated Sr. Customer Quality Manager to support Tier 1 customers.

This is a customer facing role responsible for managing all aspects of customer key concerns related to Samsung DRAM manufacturing and product quality, specifications, compliance and ad hoc inquiries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent Samsungs commitment to excellence in quality through effective customer engagement.
  • Support advanced DRAM and DIMM Quality and problem management for our core customers and their ODMs, arrange customer meetings and provide excellent and consistent customer service.
  • Organize technical communication in order to maximize problem solving and help set up verification procedures and conditions through CIP, 8D and RCCA processes.
  • Maintain status reports on customer issues, collect data and escalate urgent issues to management level
  • Manage reports and customer expectations for Quality performance metrics DPPM, FA TAT, analysis results and for additional customer response
  • Create proposals to support customized products and/or solutions for collaboration with headquarter CS/QA engineers in Korea for project management of customer quality initiatives
  • Manage quality expectations in collaboration with customers and/or HQ and drive quality improvement initiatives with customers.
  • Support customers during Factory audits as needed.
  • Manage customer satisfaction indexes for continuous quality and service improvements.
  • Document and research new quality standards and manufacturing trends in collaboration with headquarters
  • Set up tools to minimize false RMA returns and failure returns to Samsung in order to facilitate precise Failure Analysis
  • Manage PCN/FCN (Process or FW change notification) distribution and customer approval

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of direct customer technical management experience required.
  • Direct experience in semiconductor design, development and manufacturing.
  • Experience with DRAM highly preferred
  • Expert with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook for workplace efficiency
  • Domestic and international travel to customer sites as needed
