Would you like to work on a medical device product that helps people? Are you looking for a way to learn about medical device design - without experience? The Common Sensing software team is looking for help with both documenting and testing our software.

Responsibilities:

  • Write software requirements - Edit documents that describe how the software should work. Update these documents when we make changes to how the software works.
  • Do document traceability - Maintain a file showing how different documents relate to each other.
  • Maintain other documentation - Analyze other documents related to medical device software development, and edit them for wording and clarity. As familiarity with documents grows, write new documents about the software.
  • Run test protocols - Follow written instructions for using the software, and determine whether the software behaves the way the instructions say it should.
  • Edit test protocols - When the instructions are not clear, edit them to make them easier to follow. As familiarity with test protocols grows, write new test protocols.
  • File bug reports - When the software does not work correctly, write up what happened in a way that is clear and easy for other people to understand.
  • Complaints investigation - When product users report a problem, document it and try to understand what happened.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with software developers and testers to make sure that they understand the details of software issues that you find.
