**Job Description Summary**
A Software Developer Intern role in Wilmington, NC is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for working with subject matter experts to create and maintain Tableau reporting dashboards to provide business intelligence data to key business stakeholders. To be considered for this position, you must hold a bachelors degree or be currently enrolled in an accredited university with a STEM major, such as Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

**Job Duties:**
+ Creating new Tableau dashboard visualizations and supporting new enhancements to existing dashboards as a part of the Business Intelligence (BI) team.
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
+ Work with management and key business users to prioritize business and information needs.
+ Following standards on when and how to use specific visualization options.
+ Create and maintain database objects and database systems while using strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality.
+ Data pipeline implementation and maintenance using ETL tools such as Informatica Suite.
+ Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
+ Use teamwork skills to understand vision, achieve goals, and solve problems
+ Utilize Agile and Lean software development processes.
**Required Qualifications:**
Bachelors degree or currently enrolled in a bachelors program from an accredited university for Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or similar field.
**Desired Characteristics:**
+ Experience with databases using query languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, etc.
+ A working understanding of Tableau or other visual analysis tool.
+ Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or XML.
_This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment._
