General Overview


This position is responsible for developing and executing social media strategy at Rotary International. You will have the opportunity to plan, develop, and manage strategies to increase understanding of Rotarys brand, schedule content across social networks, and collaborate with creators and social channel managers across the Communications group. Your contribution will serve a critical role in the success of Rotarys organizational action plan. The Social & Digital Media department fosters an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.

 


You Will Have



  • A degree in a communications, marketing or business discipline

  • 3-5 years experience in digital media, marketing or public relations with a focus on social media

  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills, and experience writing for multiple social media audiences and platforms

  • Demonstrated knowledge of both popular and emergent social networks and digital platforms with the ability to implement strategy across multiple media

  • Experience with online publishing and monitoring platforms such as (but not exclusively) Hootsuite, Facebook Business Manager, Brandwatch, Adobe Analytics; Office 365 Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Experience creating and executing content across social media, including Facebook (and Instagram), LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube

  • Knowledge of social media strategic planning, measurement, and content marketing, and a proven ability to execute quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of graphic design best practices and principles for social and digital media

  • Demonstrated comprehension of social network and community engagement best practices

  • Strong organizational and skills to effectively manage resources and the execution of multiple projects on an ongoing basis

You Will Be Responsible For


Social Media Strategy



  • Creating, coordinating, and executing on global social strategy for Rotary International in collaboration with Manager of Social Media, working closely with the Senior Social Media Strategist, and Audience Development Specialist

  • Leading and consulting on social content strategy and production in collaboration with Visual Media, Digital Content, Global Comms and Design teams, in support of multiple business units supporting Rotarys key initiatives, events, and Areas of Focus



Social Media Account Management



  • Day-to-day posting and scheduling of social content for president and CEO accounts, and flagship Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts, and Leadership accounts and partnering with Social Media Strategist on flagship accounts, in collaboration with Social Media Strategist



Social Media Marketing



  • Collaborating with Marketing & Communications, Youth Programs, and Peace Centers to support brand advertising campaigns, programs and initiatives, and flagship events, including the annual convention
