Informa Business Intelligence currently has an exciting opportunity in our New York City office for an ambitious SME Account Manager looking to join the Agribusiness Intelligence vertical. We are an expanding global business, offering an excellent opportunity for a career-driven and money-hungry SME Sales Executive looking to establish a fruitful career in our ever-growing Agribusiness brands.

Our SME Account Managers are responsible for representing Agribusiness Intelligence, predominantly focusing on supporting and renewing client’s contracts to subscription based publications/databases as well as providing product training to high-profile clients in North and South America.  We are ideally seeking a confident retentions professional with prior account management experience in selling directly to senior level management, as well as a proven track record of successful B2B sales/retentions sales (a background in agricultural commodities will be advantageous but not compulsory).

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Achieving renewal targets from existing clients within the Informa Agribusiness Vertical by maintaining relationships, training clients, establishing the value of our services, upselling and renewing contracts.
  • Managing and developing your revenue stream through established business opportunities
  • Developing your understanding of Informa Agribusiness products, our competitors and clients to enable maximized sales and revenue generation.

Ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in B2B sales/desire to enter into B2B sales
  • Consultative B2B sales/retentions/account management experience would be an advantage 
  • Proven success in a sales/retentions role dealing with senior management in multi-national companies would be an advantage
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills
  • Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand the wider issues of the industry
  • The ability to identify new revenue opportunities and maximize product potential
