**Job Description Summary**
You will lead the Offshore Wind Service activities, providing team direction towards high performance delivery of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery (SQDC) targets in collaboration with our customers.
Primary location will be the Dogger Bank O&M Base at the Port of Tyne. #DB
European and International Travel will be a requirement.
**Job Description**
This role focuses on leading the site operations development of new windfarms, which includes overseeing the transition from a development phase to service operations. You will have direct responsibility for the prototype wind turbines within Service Operations, which are typically used to test and refine new wind turbine technologies.
This means you will be responsible for ensuring that the prototype turbines are operating effectively and efficiently, and that their performance aligns with the overall development strategy for the windfarms. Additionally you will also be responsible for managing specialist operations, which could include tasks such as maintenance and repair of wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing energy output.
+ **Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the site operations development of new windfarms, including overseeing the transition from a development phase to service operations
+ Manage specialist operations, such as maintenance and repair of wind turbines or ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
+ Have direct responsibility for the prototype wind turbines within Service Operations, ensuring overall development strategies are supported operationally
+ Ensure safe site maintenance operations are carried out, with high standards of quality, delivered to budget and according to the defined schedule, recording and tracking relevant KPIs and reporting on progress, deviations to plans and mitigations.

+ Champion for GE Lean program, introducing and implementing LEAN principles.
+ Establish new Operational Windfarms to setup for future Operational success.
+ Lead implementation of Response Plans according to Operator and GE policies with the support of required stakeholders, accountable for incident investigations in area of responsibility.
+ Lead the operational team(s) who are located at Operational wind farms and Service operation vessels. Be accountable for the execution of all service-related activities with respect to SQDC within your area of responsibility.
+ Be the point of contact for the customer representative on all day-to-day matters for your area of responsibility and create the customer monthly report.
+ Coordinate and perform administrative activities as per relevant service processes, including tracking site activities, evaluating planned technician levels, planned service schedules, requisitions, documentation requirements and managing availability.
+ Lead the Production Based Availability Operational plan that amplifies the synergies between operator and GE through advanced setup and ensures high levels of production.
+ Synergy development and deployment with Customer by integration of other work as part of the Production Based Operational plan.
+ Approve the rotation plans for scope delivery and resourcing for your areas of responsibility, managing and mitigating potential deviations to SQDC targets.
+ Lead the continual improvement culture within your area of responsibility, ensuring that high quality knowledge is retained and improved, and facilitating feedback to required stakeholders across the business.
+ Lead issue resolution, process & quality improvements, and business initiatives with other departments.
+ Support recruitment and talent development model to ensure continual improvement and progression for high performing technical and nontechnical Operational roles.
+ Facilitate Authorisation panels and Approve technician competence development.
+ Feedback on Offshore Team performance and support performance improvement as required.
+ Monitor and manage the production-based availability metrics within your area of responsibility and ensure that transparent recording and reporting is aligned with the customer.
+ Support the development of all systems and processes as required to deliver Offshore Wind Maintenance
+ Support the establishment of the training requirements, competency framework and Safe System of Work governance process.
+ Support the development and continual improvement of Standard Operation Procedures.
**Travel Expectations**
+ Principally onshore based at the Port of Tyne, South Shields
+ The role requires international travel.
+ Ability and willingness to work offshore as required.
**Education / Professional Experience**
+ Degree in an engineering discipline or professional education / apprenticeship in a technical discipline with extensive professional experience.
+ Significant experience of offshore wind Maintenance operations
+ Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment, with remote teams as a strong team player who can enable change and get work over the line.
**Language(s):**
+ Fluency in English language
**Technical knowledge and skills**
+ Proven offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline
+ High motivation level; self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills
+ High capability with software (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other cloud-based platforms).
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems in a structured manner.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead Projects.
+ Established project management skills
+ Demonstrated experience leading technician teams.
