POSITION SUMMARY
- The SIM-ND Paramedic Educator performs a full range of professional duties in assisting colleagues in implementing simulation curriculum. The duties will include providing a safe environment and quality educational experience for all participants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
  - NRP
  - EMT-P license in North Dakota
  - State or National instructor certification in one or more of the following courses: TNCC, PHTLS, ACLS, PEPP, PALS, NRP, ATLS, or willing to obtain certification within 90 days of hire (or as possible).
- Educational Requirements
  - Education commensurate with designated license, as evidenced by license.
- Experience Requirements
  - Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
  - Must have an excellent working knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and compressed air and compressors, and ability to perform repairs.
  - Experience working in healthcare and educational technology.
  - Maintain proficient level of knowledge in medical simulation technology.
  - Theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise in adult learning.
  - All new staff must be approved by the UND SIM ND Program Director.
  - Experience teaching.
  - Knowledge of curriculum implementation and evaluation.
