The role

The ServiceNow Sr. Technical Consultant - ITSM/CSM will use their IT Service Management (ITSM) ServiceNow expertise and experience to advise ITS clients on best practice within the ServiceNow platform to create lasting value and enhanced experiences. The ServiceNow Sr. Technical Consultant - ITSM/CSM will collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals and produce a variety of high-quality deliverables while contributing on multiple engagements, utilizing methodology and tools to enhance project efficiency.

  • Partner with client business and technical team members to turn business requirements and technical challenges into technical solutions.

  • Develop and co-host periodic workshops, white papers, and other success stories to educate and share knowledge within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with technical team members to develop next-gen platform technologies and enhance delivery methodologies.

  • Evaluate concepts and recommend the best solution. Skilled in using evaluation techniques ranging from simple "pro and con" comparisons, and gap analysis to sophisticated Return on Investment (ROI) calculations.

  • Provide peer mentoring and coaching to technical consultants and other technical team members.

  • Support marketing events, including user conferences, regional trade shows, and webinars, etc.

What you will bring

  • A Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business-related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of ServiceNow architecture, design, implementation, and technical experience in complex environments.

  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Virtual Agent, Service Level Management, Reporting, and Dashboards.

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow IT Service Management best practices.

  • Experience in security frameworks like NIST 800-61, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, ISO27001, ISO27035, SANS, STIX/TAXII, Open IOC, etc.

  • A passion for advising and guiding customers on how to get the most out of the product and for learning the latest product features.

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, both credibly and effectively, with all levels within the organization.

  • Demonstrated consulting aptitude (understanding of business drivers behind technology, problem solver, attention to detail, resourcefulness, etc.).

  • Facilitation skills in leading and planning meetings, reviews, workshops, and retrospectives.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at a time, paying close attention to the details.

  • Strong ability to tie technology back to solving a business needs and desired outcomes.

  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM/project management software.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually, driven by customer needs and internal meetings.

Bonus points if you bring

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

  • ITIL experience or certification.

  • Customer Service Management (CSM), Field Service Management (FSM) knowledge and experience.

  • Scrum Master or Agile certification.
