To successfully transform ASML Customer Support operations, you have to be a strong change agent with lean knowledge and lean deployment experience. The individual in this role will coach and mentor supervisors, middle & higher managers towards a continuous improvement culture that fosters daily improvement involving all team members.You will need to teach, support, challenge local CS organization (US) thanks to your expertise and knowledge in lean coaching and change management. Focus will be US Sites.

## **Job Mission**

As a Lean coach leader you will lead the culture change to a lean culture within CS with focus on the management layers. You will provide the necessary training and coaching to employees, including leadership teams, and build internal capabilities.

The Lean Coach will also be a practitioner, applying lean methods to quick fixes and facilitating kaizen events as appropriate while assisting the Leadership with the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of the Lean Maintenance Operating System (LMOS) and Lean principles and projects. The role will also coordinate Lean management implementation and adherence to best practices, along with the management of Lean projects.

## **Job Description**

As Coach leader you:


* Develop and Lead coaching plan for identified audiences within CS organizations in multiple (Asian) countries for successful transformation and sustainability of mindset/lean behaviors.


* Define and own the overall coaching plan (work activities, coaching contract, training, feedback sessions)


* Share responsibility to reach the organizational targets together with line management. Respectfully challenge the status quo to create room for change.


* Enforce prerequisites for sustainability of results.


* Drive standardization (e.g Leadership standard work), based upon the ASML Lean model and in cooperation with the CS Headquarter Lean implementation team.


* Transform mindsets (Mindset changes) to maintain continuous improvement efforts beyond project activities and change employees’ way of working to a Lean way of working.


* Contribute to the improvement of the whole operations value stream by participating in or facilitating problem solving sessions.(Problem solving leadership)


* Train and coach (Knowledge transfer) ASML local site employees, including management team, on Lean principles, concept and content so that lean thinking and lean behaviors could be found in employees on daily bases.


* Chair kaizen committee and drives for measurable and validated outcomes (Continuous improvements).

## **Education**



* Masters Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration or closely related field or equivalent experience


* Lean Certified


* Lean Master is appreciated


* Proven Coaching skills


* Significant experience leading Kaizen events as a facilitator


* Demonstrated track record of successful improvement efforts


* Preference given to applicants with Maintenance, customer service experience in a high tech environment

## **Experience**



* Strong English communication skill/ability is mandatory to link with headquarter LEAN program and Global LEAN Competence Center as well as promoting local CS site.


* Effective communication within individual and group settings


* A passion for Continuous Improvement and exhibits a ‘there must be a better way, why don’t we try …’ mentality, can think outside the box.


* Experienced in Lean deployment, transformations within maintenance and/or service organizations.


* Demonstrating mastery of Lean tools and principles


* Has the ability to use a range of different influencing techniques with good communication skill cover all organizational level (from field service to senior management)


* Experienced in project management as well as a good team worker, and able to provide training, coaching and facilitate lean/kaizen workshops.


* The ability to enthuse and influence colleagues in Lean Thinking as a business necessity;


* Ability to Coach, support, service Team Leaders, Group Leaders and managers on daily kaizen, project kaizen and leader kaizen.


* Continuous improvement of standards, quality assurance of SOP’s (standard Operating Procedure), LSW (Leader Standard Work)


* Ability to connect teams in the value chain, support and drive cross team best practice sharing, support visual management and give feedback on lean practices


* Able to deal with resistance or challenge on lean value when leading the culture change


* Extensive facilitation/training experience
