In this role you will be the Alteryx SME as Western Union automates its tax process.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of new system implementations and upgrades such as indirect and direct tax compliance, tax determination and process improvement projects.
• Serve as technology liaison with various internal partners for strategic initiatives.
• Identify tax technology needs, including opportunities for process improvements, automation, efficiency gains and application of tax process and technology best practices through the use of existing technology and the implementation of new technology.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of the tax systems necessary to ensure proper tax reporting for strategic initiatives (process design, system selection, implementation, user acceptance, training and go-live and post go-live phases).
• Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex sales tax concepts and effectively apply knowledge to develop and maintain tax reporting and analysis.

Role Requirements

• High level multi-state Sales and Use tax understanding
• Relevant Experience or Bachelors Degree
• Proficiency in Alteryx and Power BI
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Experience with an ERP system
• Bachelors degree in information technology or Accounting
• 3yrs worth of tax experience or relevant IT/data analysis experience
• Oracle experience

Salary
The on-target earnings range is $81,950-110,825 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates qualifications, skills, and competencies.
