You will be part of the core team at GE Digital Grid Software Business that is using software to enable de-carbonized future of energy for the planet by designing, building, delivering, and maintaining software applications & services for next generation Grid Software that orchestrates 40% of the worlds power today.



As the Asset Management Engineering team, we are a mature Agile outfit with a flexible working environment, where we are always looking to innovate in terms of our solutions, processes, and the technologies we use. Along with our established client-server products, we are now focusing on the development of cloud-based mapping, analytics, Micro apps and micro-services for our utilities customers. As a Full stack software developer, you will work closely with your Product Development peers in fast-paced Agile development teams building efficient APIs and building user interfaces using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure. Your tasks will include building database code, energizing the companys cloud platform, among others. You are also responsible for designing and programming a small module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area. She/he will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. She/he will Lead design discussion in a limited manner.

**Roles and Responsibilities**



In this role, you will:



+ Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.

+ Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding.

+ Execute in a fast-paced delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal.

+ Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation.

+ Seek and provide feedback on design and development.

+ Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment.

+ Understand whole product, its modules, and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module.

+ Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules.

+ Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

+ Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices.

+ Be an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and can implement them using language of choice.

+ Provide guidance to a team of 5 to 7 developers with either planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM.

+ Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.



**Desired Characteristics**



Technical Expertise:



+ Experience in building enterprise mobile solutions to address business needs.

+ Demonstrate technical work in native and cross mobile platform applications.

+ Experience writing code and design patterns in Java script.

+ Experience developing API in Node JS and using Java Script frameworks.

+ Experience in Hybrid mobile technology like Xamarin, React Native or Apache Cordova is a plus.

+ Hands on experience in mobile application frameworks (android, swift and Windows surface) devices and Hybrid applications

+ Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles

+ Experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, jQuery, CSS, angular JS .

+ Experience in different architectural styles like SOA, micro services, and Distributed systems.



**Education Qualification**



For roles outside USA:



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.



For roles in USA:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience4years



Desired CharacteristicsTechnical Expertise:

Master's Degree/ PHD in Computer Science

Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming

Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain (Energy Management, Oil & Gas, Power & Water)

Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
