Position Summary

The Senior Revenue Analyst will play an important role in the Revance financial organization as we anticipate the growth of HintMD fintech services, which was acquired by Revance in the July 2020. HintMD fintech services provides information to medical aesthetics practitioners about practice management and administrative support; the ability to offer integrated smart payment service and administration of customer subscription and loyalty services. The HintMD services are also expected to integrate with Revance's other aesthetic product offerings such as Daxibotulinumtoxin for injection, if approved, and the RHA Collection of dermal fillers. The next generation of the fintech platform is planned to be released in 2021.

This role will work alongside the Manager of Revenue Accounting to develop and streamline revenue and account receivables operations and provide ongoing accounting support and financial reporting relating to service revenue and related areas. In this role, you'll be heavily involved in implementing new procedures, and continually look for ways to improve existing processes. You will collaborate with internal teams such as Commercial, Information Technology, and Customer Service, to advocate best practices. This role will learn and develop in the fascinating world of the payment industry, including the interactions between bank, merchant, gateway, processor, and facilitator, to name a few. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain recurring financial reporting procedures in fintech service revenue areas, including, but not limited to, transaction price allocations, accounting for allowances, contract assets, material right consideration, variable considerations, gross vs. net, commissions, and cut-off.
  • Maintain proper internal controls over financial reporting and other required accounting documentation to satisfy external audit requirements.
  • Participate in period-end accounting close and cross functional coordination to ensure the close is completed timely.
  • Drive and establish recurring accounting procedures in revenue, including, but not limited to, assisting in providing technical guidance as well as technical memos and analyses.
  • Assist in reviewing revenue arrangements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with the revenue policy and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) including, but not limited to usage revenue (point in time), subscription (over time) revenue, customer incentives and discounts.
  • May assist in implementation of new order to cash system, process and procedures including, but not limited to, test pilot, test script review, user validation, post-implementation activities and/or data migration.
  • Collaborate and interact closely with business partners (both on & off site), as part of information gathering, analysis and vetting.
  • Take an active role within the accounting organization to drive goal achievement, while evaluating and recommending process improvements.
  • Assist in coordination with internal resources in completing significant and complex revenue accounting matters and deliverables.
  • Collaborate within various stakeholders to assist update and maintain Company's revenue recognition and account receivables policies, as needed.
  • Prepare data and other supporting information requests as needed for audits and reviews conducted by internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in other revenue areas on an as-needed basis.
  • Manage other special projects or activities as needed, especially with other technical accounting matters.


Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent)
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license


Minimum Required:
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in industry and/or public accounting
  • Sarbanes-Oxley 404 public accounting or industry experience

  • Payment industry experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum Required:
  • Proficient working knowledge in revenue and account receivables accounting operations and processes
  • Strong knowledge in understanding and applying ASC 606
  • Positive, virtuous work ethic and a collaborative team player; ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Unquestionable integrity and personal ethics
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize competing projects, ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Ability to communicate with impact both in writing and verbally

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in core Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and SharePoint

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Working knowledge of subscription revenue
  • Internal or external client support experience
  • Experience using other Microsoft Office tools such as Teams, Planner, and Visio
