The Boldt Company has an exciting new opportunity for a candidate who is looking to take his/ her skills in accounting and financial management to the next level. We are seeking a highly motivated accounting and financial professional to prepare project and division financial statements and financial analysis for our Central Operations business unit. In this role, you will maintain, develop, and implement accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.


  1. Lead, direct and coordinate construction accounting working within one or more sections, such as accounts payable, payroll, billing or job costing for major projects and operating departments.
  2. Prepare and/or review appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations and assist in maintaining overhead budgets.
  3. Manage, lead and develop accounting staff.
  4. Lead and coordinate client audits.
  5. Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
  6. Support project teams on meeting contract requirements and financial goals.
  7. Other duties as assigned


A comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is required for this role. You must possess strong analytical abilities and have the capability to handle multiple priorities with good organizational and time management skills. Additionally, advanced communication skills with the ability to interact with people in all areas of the company will be a large component of the role. Character and values that align with core Company values is desirable. Able to identify and improve systems and procedures while maintaining attention to detail.

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of work experience required. Background within construction industry preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear. The employee regularly is required to walk and reach with hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard, regularly travels (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation), and occasionally performs work on-site at construction work sites. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently.
