Senior Product Manager - Strategic Value Analytics & Segment Research

Role Summary:The Senior Product Manager - Strategic Analytics & Segment Research will own the understanding of global offshore markets and customer needs and expectations, and initiates analytics and actions to provide compelling value propositions to serve those needs.

Essential Responsibilities:



+ Provide the market view to help establish GEs vision and strategic plan for Offshore wind. This external viewpoint is an essential strategic element in combination with technology view and execution roadmap and consists among others of a policy overview, customer and other segmentation, customer value analysis and collaboration, market overview and competitive analysis



+ Collects and analyses market share information, economic trends and industry trends to analyze the Offshore wind product strategy



+ Develops market segmentation and establishes positioning strategies in collaboration with product owners and the sales and commercial team



+ Develops and maintains a clear overview of competitions, their anticipated moves and potential impact to GE. Uses this perspective to recommend potential organic and inorganic growth strategies



+ Supports the pricing leader with management of a full-lifecycle economic model reflecting the financial of a complete offshore project to calculate the lifecycle cost of energy (LCOE)



+ Support the product managers and Engineering teams when making technology trade-offs linked to the strategy of offshore wind product line



+ Supports the commercial team in collecting pricing intelligence for deal support and competitiveness analyses. Provide regular reports on market pricing trends and implications for GE to senior management



+ Build strong relationships with customers, external stakeholders such as WindEurope and local industry bodies and regular engages with them on GEs offshore development



+ Continuously monitors the product portfolio to meet the needs of markets. Owns TG1 and TG2 for any new product development Promotes a culture of LEAN, simplification, diversity, thought leadership



+ Provides marketing inputs for Strategic Growth Playbook. Pro-actively identifies trend in the markets and continuously evolves the offshore growth story.





Qualifications/Requirements:



+ Bachelors degree in engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related area from an accredited college or university discipline



+ Significant engineering, product management, marketing or commercial experience



+ Deep expertise in the Wind industry, Knowledge about wind turbine physics, wind market dynamics & economics



+ Strong analytical and strategic mind-set able to navigate complexity, develop clear actions, drive impact and quickly move from details to the holistic view and vice versa



+ Strong business acumen and global mindset



+ Strong, self-directed, collaborative team player with interpersonal, communication, & presentation skills (Proven inclusive leadership profile)



+ Very strong communication / interpersonal skills, able to provide an environment of trust



+ Excellent communicator able to communicate in clear, concise manner with customers, cross-functional teams and senior leaders



+ Experience in interacting with senior management levels, customers, other external partners and leading large virtual teams in multiple time zones



+ Fluent in English (written & oral)



+ Proven experience in processing data using large and complex Excel worksheets













If contracted in Spain:



Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement





Desired Characteristics:



+ Technical experience in wind turbine design & application, and its BOP



+ Leadership experience with proven ability to deliver results



+ Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation, skills; ability to conceptualize, structure, and present compelling stories to a wide range of audiences



+ MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is essential



+ Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and set challenging but realistic time schedules



+ Ability to understand major PL-associated functions (Sales/ComOps, Marketing & Strategy, GSCM & Engineering, PMO, Service/Digital)
