In this role, you will work alongside a team of friendly, passionate, and creative product managers, designers, UX researchers, and developers to bring our products to market. You’ll create product release plans that ensure our teams develop innovative solutions using ADP's AI and machine learning-enhanced payroll, HR, talent acquisition and talent management solutions. The ultimate goal is help create intuitive and delightful experiences for our clients to help them source, hire, and retain the best people.

Whether you're in meetings with clients or sales, developers, or design, you'll be the guiding voice that helps us clarify ideas so we can create a comprehensive product roadmap and cohesive go-to-market product story. You stay close to market trends, anticipate our customers' next questions, and bring new ideas into the mix. You are the best advocate of your product and communicate with confidence. Still, you also have the experience to take your product into the marketplace and position it competitively for maximum financial impact.

To thrive in this role, you must take command of your product, lead multiple team's efforts, and be a deep listener who can ask the right clarifying questions to help understand the problem your stakeholders are trying to solve. You've worked with Agile teams and understand product delivery cycles. You have experience explaining the prioritization of a product roadmap, creating product vision and roadmap, and documenting in a way that both external and internal teams will understand. You have held roles where you regularly communicate and defend ideas to a broad audience of stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Scrums. You'll start each day working with teams to understand responsibilities, identify any issues, and communicate priorities. You'll continue to have meetings throughout the day as you create and organize your roadmap.
  • Research & Requirements. You'll own the de You'll document and prioritise product features. You're always learning and researching new industry trends to make our products better. You'll incorporate what makes sense into your product roadmap based on our clients, the market, ADP's goals, and what impact the future of tech will have on your products.
  • Relationships. You'll create strong alliances with diverse stakeholders and ensure everyone is in this together and communicates most appropriately. You'll collaborate across multiple teams with developers, other product managers, and UX teams, to name some, to continually drive innovation and make the product the best it can be.
  • Measurements. You have experience measuring product effectiveness, reporting outcomes, and driving priorities.
  • Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be working with UX teams on client experience journeys to delivering new features, product enhancements, or creating new services. Best part? You'll get to see those ideas come to life.
  • Presentations. You'll speak to internal and external stakeholders to communicate and defend ideas while answering critical questions.
  • Experience. You have 5-8 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embody our core values and principles while be a key member of the Product Management function, in partnership with engineering and delivery teams. 
  • Research competitive products, industry trends, and business strategies to determine how we drive unique value and sustainable market advantages.
  • Leverage metrics and data to inform product decisions, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Support the senior product owner's strategy by articulating the vision and mission of the product roadmap, including implementation and prioritization.
  • As Product Owner, manage execution for a specific product from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
  • Ability to clarify requirements that balances business needs with innovative ideas and make recommendations to the technical and design approaches to meet requirements.
  • Develop user stories and requirements while evaluating their potential and practicality by analyzing market and customer needs.
  • Serve as the central resource with design, process, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.
  • Act as user champion when coordinating product development with business stakeholder and align all development activity with business goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and service on the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved.
  • Engage with customers, strategic partners, and prospects frequently to present our strategy and roadmap and understand their requirements. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a market-facing software, B2B or B2C, Human Capital Management, CRM, or HR Tech solutions in a product management role
  • Experience with enterprise software, specifically in the talent acquisition and/or talent management space, in a client facing role
  • A problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Driven by collaboration and open communication and deep listening
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, i.e., scrum and experience with managing a product backlog (grooming, prioritization, and refinement), working day-to-day with the product SCRUM teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and design teams to accomplish project goals
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Able to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally

 

PREFERRED:

  • Capable of managing multiple stakeholders on the best course of action for the product
  • Experience working in complex organizations and influencing without authority across many domains
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience

 

We believe in good faith that compensation for a successful candidate based in Colorado would be between the range listed below.
