**Key Responsibilities**



+ Operate and monitor plant systems locally as required, maintaining the unit within all applicable guidelines and regulations including emissions, efficiency, heat rate and safety.

+ Maintain a complete set of logs to include all information during normal operation and during operational excursions.

+ Work closely with shift partner to ensure high standards of communication and plant operation.

+ Carry out minor maintenance on shift when required.

+ Assist in the operation of the Water Treatment Plant and perform routine water testing if required.

+ Troubleshoot plant systems as directed by functional manager.

+ Conduct plant inspection tours in a professional manner, and ensure that the stations general housekeeping is completed.

+ Continually striving to have an up to date knowledge and understanding of all station and company policies and procedures pertinent to his positions requirements.

+ To work and assist during the outages as directed by the management team.

+ Seeking and implementing opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.

+ Initiating changes and additions to the station manuals and work instructions to further the philosophy of continuous improvement.

+ Acting as an Authorised Person within the limits of certification.

+ Take corrective actions to control all situations in which safety or health of the staff or plant or environment is at risk.

+ Assist in the receipt and storage of goods hazardous and benign to the station as required.

+ Attend and contribute to all staff team meetings for the continual improvement of the teams performance.



**Required Qualifications**



+ **Diploma OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Marine Engineering** ;

+ 3-5 years' power generation operation or maintenance experience on combined cycle gas turbines. Other industry experience such as Petrochemical, Cogeneration Plant could also be considered.

+ Basic understand of engineering design and engineering practices on a modern power station.

+ Knowledge of the legislation associated with safe operation of the plant.

+ The ability of risk assessment and safety awareness.

+ Ability to speak, read and write in English.

+ **Willingness to work on shift on weekly basis and be based at Taoyuan.**
