Job Description


Position Summary


The Financial Analyst position is imperative for the financial planning analysis of the corporation. This role performs financial statement analysis of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement including margins, ratios, growth, liquidity, leverage, rates of return and profitability.  This role is responsible for providing Leadership/ Executives with the analysis and information they need for departments to make proper business decisions.  It is responsible for keeping track of a companys financial plan; analyzes financial statements to generate financial reports for management regarding strategic planning and trending of data. The role must analyze the companys performance and help with creating financial forecasts to help with future productivity and goal achievement.  Calculates variances between those forecasts and actuals and tracks down and explains the causes of variances. It provides forecasts for future revenue gain from the value of all sales of goods and services. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assist with growing financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
  • Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives
  • Aids in the Capital Budgeting Best Practices to help with decision-making process with regards to capital-investments pursued. (E.g. Opening a new factory to a significant workforce expansion, entering a new market, or the research and development of new products)
  • Helps with identifying and capturing expenditure planning processes
  • Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data
  • Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
  • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data and accruals
  • Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis


 Three (3) years of Business Finance or other relevant experience in Manufacturing
 Bachelor's degree required
 Masters degree preferred
 High proficiency in Financial Modeling performed in Excel to forecast a company's financial performance
 Strong fluency with Excel Formulas functioning utilizing formulas to perform financial analysis and modeling in Excel spreadsheets
 Strong analytical and data gathering skills
 Good business acumen
