Senior Director, Product Marketing

Job Description

The Senior Director of Product Marketing will lead product marketing for our Customer Engagement and Support product portfolio. This role is cross-functional in nature and will require successful partnership with product, sales, marketing, customer success, and various other teams across the company to develop the positioning, messaging, competitive analysis and go-to-market strategies and for new and existing products. This is an individual contributor role to start but will have the ability to build a team in the future.


  • Lead development and guidance of the go-to-market strategy
  • Size and define market segments and trends and understand the competitive landscape
  • Develop content and communications to empower cross-functional teams with market and competitive insights to drive decision making and inform strategic direction
  • Plan and manage the launch of new products and features in the portfolio
  • Evangelize go-to-market strategy across functions through enablement and alignment
  • Partner with sales and develop enablement strategy around vision, products, and competition
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams
  • Evaluate win/loss data to validate or inform changes in strategic direction
  • Develop go-to-market foundations to support execution of strategy
  • Define customer and prospect personas and messaging to address pain points and product differentiation
  • Drive content strategy and create materials to support go-to-market efforts and teams, including thought leadership content
  • Align and engage with key analysts
  • Align with product to plan and roll out the launch of new products and features in the portfolio
  • Lead a team of product marketers to drive growth and retention
  • Establish the baseline KPIs and measurables for Product Marketing to evaluate quarterly
  • Build and foster a high-powered product Marketing team with clear KPIs for success
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication to deliver effective go-to-market strategy and execution


  • Marketing experience with a SaaS company
  • Hands-on leader with experience recruiting and developing a team
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects at once, with multiple stakeholders, and getting products/features launched on-time.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with an ability to build strong working relationships across levels and departments
  • Self-motivated and doesnt wait for prescriptive direction.Capable of working in a face-paced, dynamic environment
  • Detail and results oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution
  • Ability to dive into the work, to understand the business, the markets, the industry and competition
  • Superior communications skills, particularly with writing and visual story-telling (e.g., PPT).
