Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities
  • In close consultation with colleagues in the communications department and select officers of the College, assists in the conception, planning, managing, and executing of the design and production of a wide range of communications projects to support development and alumni relations goals. Assists design team in the planning and implementation of a visual brand identity, including a graphic standards manual, for a multi-year fund-raising campaign, as well as for shorter campaigns and communication requirements for clients throughout Advancement. Brings a creative, critical, and analytical approach to planning sessions with colleagues. Maintains an awareness of alternate forms of communications other than the obvious, recognizing, in addition to print, the potential of the Web, social media, email marketing, event design, environmental graphics, video, premiums, merchandise, and more. Works effectively on complex projects in a deadline-driven environment. 70%
  • Provides regular progress reports to the Art Director and Project Manager to ensure all assigned projects are running on time and on budget. 20%
  • Assists the Art Director in assembling a freelance staff of first-rate photographers, illustrators, and printers who can help the communications department fulfill its mission. Works closely with each contractor to ensure that work is completed on time, meets standards of quality, and is consistent with the communications department's sensibilities and the Dartmouth College brand. 10%
