**Job Description**

**Role Summary/Purpose:**

Member of the GE Digital Compliance team responsible for (i) conducting compliance analysis and integrity investigations involving alleged violations of law or GE policy across a number of substantive risk areas, (ii) proactively screening GED client and partner engagements globally for compliance with U.S. and international standards, and (iii) enhancing and implementing compliance infrastructure across GE Digital globally.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

Works directly with the GE Digital Compliance lead, Ombuds Leader, and other stakeholders including GE Digital General Counsel to:

+ Manage and enhance core compliance programs across GE Digital including risk assessment; drafting, updating and socializing policies and procedures; training; communication; monitoring and reporting.

+ Provide legal and compliance oversight on third-party engagements including (i) customer and channel partner compliance; (ii) business and government courtesy expenses; and (iii) export controls.

+ Support and coordinate compliance initiatives across all GE Digital business units and functions including compliance with cyber security, privacy, fair competition, and respectful workplace standards.

+ Lead independent investigations, as well as managing and/or overseeing others conducting investigations, including:

+ Conduct prompt, thorough, and objective investigations into alleged violations of law or company policy.

+ Partner with Ombuds/Open Reporting and other functions to identify and understand trends; analyze and report out on such trends and thereby enable the organization to respond in a timely and proactive manner.

+ Know and understand all applicable legal and policy requirements pertaining to the conduct of investigations including in areas involving employee interviews, data privacy, labor and employment requirements, and more; monitor changes in such laws and policies and provide guidance to colleagues with respect to such changes.

**Basic Requirements:**

+ JD required.

+ License to practice by a state Bar Association.

+ 4+ years experience in a law firm or 5+ years cumulative law firm and corporate legal experience preferably with a background in investigations, cyber-security, regulatory, or international trade compliance.
